PLCs

Professional Learning Committees

At APAX, we are committed to continuous growth, collaboration, and excellence in teaching and learning. Our Professional Learning Committees (PLCs) play a vital role in this vision by fostering a culture of shared expertise, professional dialogue, and subject development from Grade R through to Grade 12.

Each PLC brings together teachers of the same subject across different phases, ensuring coherence, continuity, and standardisation in what learners experience. Through regular collaboration, teachers plan curriculum, refine assessment strategies, share methodologies, and strengthen learner support — creating a seamless progression of skills and knowledge throughout the school journey.

By connecting teachers across grades, PLCs build a strong professional network within APAX, promoting alignment, innovation, and best practices in every classroom. This ensures that both teachers and learners benefit from a consistently high standard of teaching and learning.

Our PLCs include:
● Mathematics
● English
● Science
● Afrikaans
● Accounting
● Islamiaat
● Humanities

At APAX, PLCs are more than meetings — they are a driving force behind educational excellence and meaningful learning.
