Junior High Gr7-9
Navigating Growth with Purpose
Junior High is a time of transition and transformation, where learners begin shaping their identity during the crucial early teen years. At APAX, we provide the structure, guidance, and care they need to navigate this stage with confidence.
Our environment is safe, values-driven, and responsive to the unique needs of young adolescents. Teachers serve as both subject specialists and compassionate mentors, helping learners grow into independent thinkers, effective communicators, and responsible individuals.
As a registered independent school, we follow the CAPS curriculum, offering a balanced timetable of secular and Islamic subjects to ensure a strong academic and spiritual foundation. Subjects include English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Technology, EMS, Life Orientation, and Creative Arts.
Our Islamiaat programme remains central, covering Qur’an, Surahs, Duas, Fiqh, Aqaaid, Hadith, Qur’anic Arabic, Islamic History, and Tafseer — taught in ways that connect meaningfully with modern teenage life. Learners may also join our structured Hifdh programme, available for both boys and girls.
With the support of our Learning Support Crew, School Counsellor, and educational partners, every learner receives the academic and emotional guidance they need to thrive.
At APAX, Junior High is not just a bridge — it is a launchpad for confident, values-driven young people, rooted in Islamic principles and ready for the future.
Senior High Phase Grades 10–12
Purposeful Preparation for Life Beyond School
Senior High marks the final and most defining stage of a learner’s journey at APAX — a time to discover strengths, refine goals, and take ownership of the future.
With small class sizes and subject specialists, we provide focused, personalised attention that prepares learners not only for matric success but also for university, careers, and life beyond school. Academic excellence, personal growth, and Islamic values converge to shape confident, independent graduates.
Following the CAPS curriculum, learners customise their academic stream by selecting subjects aligned to their interests and career paths. Core subjects include English, Afrikaans, Mathematics/Mathematical Literacy, and Life Orientation, while electives are chosen from a wide range including Physical Sciences, History, Computer Applications Technology, Accounting, Geography, Religion Studies, Life Sciences, and Business Studies.
Our Islamiaat programme culminates in this phase, drawing together years of Qur’an, Fiqh, Aqaaid, Seerah, and Tafseer to nurture learners who are academically strong and spiritually grounded. This ensures they step into adulthood with knowledge, purpose, and a clear moral compass.
At APAX, Senior High is more than preparation for Grade 12 — it’s preparation for life. We equip learners with the confidence to dream big, the skills to achieve, and the faith to remain firmly grounded.
