At APAX, Islamiaat is not just a subject — it is the heart of our school’s identity and the foundation upon which we build character, values, and purpose. Rooted in the authentic teachings and Aqeedah of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’aah, our Islamiaat curriculum is carefully developed using resources from Jamiat SA, Jamiat KZN, and our own qualified ulama.

Our goal is to nurture principled leaders who are firmly grounded in faith, guided by sound Islamic knowledge, and inspired to uphold Deen in every aspect of life. We focus on holistic tarbiyyah — developing learners’ spiritual, moral, and personal growth alongside their academic achievements.

From Grade 1 to Grade 12, Islamic Studies are compulsory, ensuring a strong foundation in Qur’an, Fiqh, Aqaaid, Seerah, Hadith, and Islamic History. Tafseer of the Noble Qur’an is also introduced in the senior grades, deepening learners’ understanding of Allah’s guidance. Through this, we instill Iman (faith), Taqwa (God-consciousness), and Akhlaaq (good character).

Learners are empowered with essential life skills such as clear communication, critical thinking, moral courage, respect, humility, and self-discipline — all grounded in the values of Islam. Beyond the classroom, Islamiaat is brought to life through engaging activities aligned with the Islamic calendar, workshops, interschool competitions, and seamless integration into all subjects.
