The Auckland Park Academy of Excellence (APAX) was established in 2011 to provide and exceed the holistic educational needs of the growing Auckland Park community and its surrounding areas. Rooted in an Islamic ethos, APAX offers a balanced curriculum that integrates both secular and Islamic education.

Nestled in the vibrant suburb of Auckland Park, Johannesburg, APAX is uniquely positioned between two esteemed institutions of higher learning: the University of Johannesburg and the University of the Witwatersrand.

The school was founded by a group of visionary individuals who continue to serve the institution with dedication and sincerity. They planted the seed of knowledge with the understanding that the true fruits of their efforts may only be seen by future generations. Their unwavering commitment has become a lasting source of inspiration for the broader community.

From humble beginnings with just 39 learners at the start of 2011, growing to 88 by the year’s end, APAX has flourished. Today, the school caters to learners from Grade R to Grade 12, with a student body of over 500 across four campuses.
